The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has notified the public of a planned electricity interruption that will affect several communities in Lagos State for up to three days.
In a public notice released to consumers within its coverage area, the distribution company explained that the temporary outage is necessary to allow engineers carry out maintenance and upgrade work aimed at improving the electricity network.
According to the announcement, residents in parts of the Lekki corridor will experience a three-day power disruption beginning on Thursday, March 13, and lasting until Saturday, March 15, 2026.
The outage will occur daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. while technical teams conduct upgrade operations at the Lekki Injection Substation.
The company said the project is designed to strengthen the power distribution infrastructure, improve electricity evacuation, and enhance the reliability of supply as demand continues to grow in the rapidly developing Lekki district.
