A TikTok user identified as @tobi.lagos has stirred reactions online after sharing his experience at gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan’s Upper Room programme held at Trinity Towers in Lagos State on Sunday, March 22.
The video accompanying his post showed a massive crowd of attendees gathered outside the venue, indicating that the space could no longer comfortably contain the number of people present.
According to his narration, he arrived at the venue around 3 p.m. for an event scheduled to begin by 5 p.m., hoping to secure a good seat.
However, despite getting there well ahead of time, he was still directed to the overflow section, a development that left him visibly displeased.
The situation highlighted the overwhelming turnout and the apparent struggle to accommodate everyone who showed up for the programme.
Through his post, he drew attention to the increasing popularity of the Lagos Upper Room event, suggesting that the current venue may not be sufficient for the growing audience.
He called on gospel minister Dunsin Oyekan to consider moving future editions of the event to a larger space.
The video has since gained traction on social media, with many users echoing similar concerns.
In his words:
“A letter to Min Dunsin Oyekan, Pls sir Lagos upper room needs a bigger space now!!!
