Popular Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat alias Peller has sparked fresh reactions online after a tense encounter during a visit to a royal palace.
The incident reportedly happened at the palace of the Adedotun Gbadebo in Abeokuta, where the content creator had stopped as part of his ongoing nationwide streaming tour.
Known for moving across cities to engage with fans, his visit to Abeokuta was expected to follow a similar pattern.
However, the situation quickly changed upon his arrival at the palace. A video making rounds online captured voices believed to be palace chiefs expressing dissatisfaction with how he and his team entered the premises.
The group was reportedly criticized for not following proper protocol expected in such a respected traditional setting.
As tensions rose, more palace officials intervened and made it clear that the visit would not continue.
The chiefs reportedly informed him that the monarch would not be granting an audience and directed him and his entourage to leave immediately.
Recognising the seriousness of the moment, the streamer quickly exited the palace and signaled to his team to follow suit.
This development comes shortly after another controversy involving him in Benin City, where the Benin Traditional Council reportedly declared him wanted over claims that he visited a palace without proper clearance.
His management had earlier dismissed the allegation, maintaining that due process was followed.
