Foluke Adeboye, wife of renowned cleric Enoch Adeboye, has opened up about the personal sacrifices she made after giving her life to Christ.
In a resurfaced video, she reflected on how her lifestyle changed during the early days of their journey in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
She revealed that before her conversion, she had a deep love for fashion and had invested heavily in gold items, including jewelry she had already set aside for her young child.
However, she explained that after becoming born again, wearing such accessories was no longer accepted within the church. Faced with that reality, she chose to discard them.
“Every woman loves fashion,” she said, recalling her passion for style and accessories. “By the time we became born again, it was a taboo for you to have them.”
Rather than selling or keeping the valuables, she decided to dispose of them by throwing everything into a lagoon.
She recounted how a family acquaintance questioned her decision, suggesting she could have handed the items over to her mother to sell, but she remained firm in her belief.
“I said, whatever is not good for me is not good for my mother,” she explained.
She also recalled days when Cooper was invoke, admitting that she spent a lot of money on them back then.
Despite the sacrifices, Foluke Adeboye maintained that she has no regrets about her decision and does not feel she lost anything important.
“What would I say I miss? Not much, I have already sold myself,” she added.
