Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has sent a strong message to his close friend, Cubana Chief Priest after he got involved in the ongoing clash between Wizkid and Burna Boy.
The controversy began at Obi’s House in Lagos, where Burna Boy reportedly confronted Wizkid’s DJ, Tunez.
The situation intensified after Burna Boy shared a video of himself dancing with a towel wrapped around his waist while vibing to one of DJ Tunez’s songs.
In the clip, he fell to the ground and made a statement that appeared to mock the DJ, saying, “Ogbafia dey for ground”.
Reacting, Wizkid criticised Burna Boy, accusing him of using multiple men to attack DJ Tunez and while linking him to the embattled American rapper Sean Combs alias Diddy.
He went further to throw insults at Burna Boy, referring to him as “Diddy babe.”
Amid the heated exchange, Cubana Chief Priest joined the conversation with a humorous take on the towel reference.
He joked that he was only familiar with Diddy’s oil and did not know about any towel, adding that he found the situation entertaining and questioned whether the towel came after the oil.
However, Davido was not impressed by his friend’s reaction.
In a now-deleted comment, the singer urged him to stay out of the drama, writing:
“CP free this matter biko”.
