A fresh development has stirred conversations online as businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, made a surprising move amid the controversy involving his partner, Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO.
For several weeks, Blessing CEO has been at the center of public attention after announcing that she was battling stage four breast cancer.
She had earlier shared emotional clips online, including one where she shaved her hair, and later revealed plans to sell her properties to fund chemotherapy treatment.
Her story drew sympathy from many Nigerians, leading to donations. She later disclosed in an interview that she had received about thirteen million naira.
However, doubts began to surface when a woman accused her of altering medical reports that allegedly belonged to someone else.
Further interviews also exposed inconsistencies in her claims, prompting outrage online.
Many Nigerians began demanding refunds and calling for her arrest. Social media critic VeryDarkMan and businessman Oil Money were among those who also asked that contributors be refunded.
The situation escalated after Blessing CEO later described the cancer claim as a misunderstanding and firmly stated that she would not return the money, arguing that donations were made voluntarily.
On the night of April 4, 2026, she deactivated her Instagram account, raising further suspicion among the public. Not long after, IVD took a similar step by disabling his own account.
Checks confirmed that his page was no longer accessible, indicating it had been intentionally taken down.
This unexpected move has fueled intense reactions online, with some Nigerians speculating that the couple might be attempting to disappear with the donated funds, while others continue to call for swift action against them.
