World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua has broken his silence in a new post days after being accused of not shedding tears at his friend’s funeral.
Recall that Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious road accident on Monday, December 29th 2025, in Makun, Ogun State. Eyewitnesses say the crash occurred around 11 a.m. along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, near Danco Filling Station before the Sagamu Interchange.
Reports indicate that Latif and Sina, who immediately passed away, were seated in the front of the vehicle at the time of the accident, while Joshua was seated in the back. Latif was Joshua’s personal trainer, while Sina served as his strength and conditioning coach.
However, when footage from the UK funeral surfaced online, many social media users misinterpreted Joshua’s composure, assuming he felt little or no grief because he did not cry or visibly break down during the ceremony.
Taking to his Instagram page today, January 8th, 2025, Anthony Joshua shares graphics of his late friends and deeply mourns them, stressing that the accident really breaks his heart.
He noted that this moment is a very tough one for him, but it has been tougher for the parents of his late friends.
While keeping a strong mind, Anthony Joshua prays to God to have mercy on his late friends who have just passed away.
He wrote:
“Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn’t even realise how special they are. I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men. 100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents ❤️ I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers 🙏🏾”
